Fees are determined on a case-by-case basis. However, the minimum fees for estate planning are:

For a single person, $2000
For couples, $2500.

For probate, the fees are set by law, and are calculated by awarding the attorney a percentage of the value of the deceased's estate. The fee schedule is as follows:

4% for the first $100,000
3% for $100,001 - $200,000,
2% for $200,001 - $1,000,000
1% $1,000,001 to $10,000,000,
0.5% $10,000,000 and up.
